Four years ago
Criminal Justice Son-in-Law
introduced the soccer Easter Cup
to our family Easter celebrations.

A perfect activity for a family with
6 energetic boys and two sons-in-law
with a few friends recruited for good measure.
Football Playin' Cousin
This year is the first year
I followed them with my camera.
(Last year they played in the rain.
What a mess that was.)
Soccer Teammate vs Meteorologist Cousin
Taking these photos reminded me
just how much I love photographing soccer.
After all, I have spent 13 years on the soccer sidelines
with camera in hand.
The Thrilled Spectators
Soccer Boy's Girlfriend and Pragmatic Daughter
I sure am gonna miss
the spring and fall soccer seasons
when Soccer Boy heads off to college
in another year.
Best Friend Since Kindergarten vs Soccer Boy
Hopefully,
the Easter Cup
has many more years remaining
to keep me and my camera satisfied.
Future Baker Cousin
(No pressure or anything!
But someone has to keep the 80+ yr. family business going!)

And then there is the
Christmas Cup,
New Year's Cup,
Hmmmm...How many cup possibilities are there?

Typical Brothers-in-Law
Absent this year were our Teacher Daughter
and Sailor Son-in-Law
stationed in Virginia.
Maybe next year.

Nice action photos of the family! These are keepers!
fun to have a good group each year, we did this when I was younger
fantastic fotos and so much fun... i would be with the thrilled spectators OR with the photographer.

Thanks for sharing your Easter Cup with Share Your Cup! What a fun tradition. Our youngest played soccer all through High School and boy did we have withdrawals when it all ended. She has now had both knees operated on for torn ACL's. Darn! You got some great shots. Thanks for sharing them.
