Finding Spring

Finally, spring has arrived.
Somehow winter just kept finding its way back again.

A trip to Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve
proved without a doubt spring is here.

And thanks to my allergy shots every other week,
I could actually enjoy being outdoors!

Lots of pollen...
but no sneezing and no sniffling.

It's been a long time since I could experience spring -
the last round of allergy shots wore off around 5 years ago.

I plan to fully experience the outdoors this year!

You might be seeing more flowers on the blog this year.

Wild Banks

A Wild Burst of Sunshine

The house next door
has one of those headache banks.
The hill that leads down to the road
is steep.

A Wild Sweet Delight

The previous neighbor fought with that bank
until she finally surrendered.
The bank won.

Wild Spills Over

The new neighbors...
full of youthful energy,
seem to be winning the battle.

Wild Reaching

They planted wildflower seeds all along the bank.
It is gorgeous.

Wild Poppy

It kind of makes me want a wild bank too -
that and the wild youthfulness to go with it.

The Old Guy Takes A Spin

I'm just taking a little time
to enjoy the spring flowers.

Not too bad for my old camera
and scratched lens, eh?

I haven't been using my lighter and
older Canon 50D and Tamron 17-270 mm lens very much
because I put a nasty scratch on the lens.
:(
Those two make such a good walk around pair.

But sometimes I just don't want to lug
the big guns around with me all day
so this day I took the old guy out for a spin.

He's still got it.
And I was thinking of selling him.
Pfffft.
