A Girl's Just Gotta Have Fun

The New Lighthouse, Cape Henry, VA

Above is my original edit using Lightroom.
Too bad I lost my polarizing filter, huh?
It would have cut the reflection.

Before buying Topaz Impression,
this was my final edit
using HDR Efex Pro 2

And now
(thanks to Lisa Gordon
who introduced me to Topaz Impression,)
I am spending way too much time having fun.

These are additional edits
from Topaz Impression
using their presets.

Cezanne Preset

I'm likin' it.
Colored Pencil 4 Preset

Looks like old glass.
 Renoir 2 Preset

And last, but not least,
my favorite:

This one is getting printed.
Charcoal 3 Preset

When my husband gets home tonight
and sees the clutter and laundry...
he'll know something is up.

By the way,
Topaz doesn't know I exist.
I am not getting paid for writing this.

Hmmm. Maybe I should have replaced my polarizing filter first.
Oh well...too late.

The Pinnacle Hike via the Blue Blazed Trail

There is a classic small town in Berks Co., Pennsylvania named Hamburg
where you can find a hike to a mountain overlook
view of the beautiful countryside below.

The area is popular with day hikers
but because it overlaps part of the Appalachian Trail
you'll find serious through hikers as well.

Our choice was to reach The Pinnacle Side Trail
via the Blue Blazed Trail.

Near the start is the Hamburg Reservoir.

Hubby always takes the lead...always.

A Pinnacle Tradition...
stack your rock on the pile.

Our friend, and trail guide, Marty
checks out the Appalachian Trail Log.

Usually when we hike with Marty,
something exciting happens,
like when my husband fell in the waterfall.
Read that humorous account here.

But today's hike was uneventful.
How nice!
