Rebecca, I hope you weren't in any danger of getting shot! You were brave so those are good pictures you got. Our soldiers around here don't like us to take their pictures. ..
I used to spend a lot of time at various reinactments. I know Valley Forge was in mid winter but no one wants to reinact it in deep freeze and deep cold.
Kind of scary to see the soldiers in the town streets. Maybe I'm over-reacting because I'm reading War and Peace and the awfulness of war is on my mind. :)
What a fun day! I've never seen a Civil War Reenactment before. Maybe we'll head over to Jim Thorpe soon. It looks like an interesting place even without a re-enactment.

Love these reenactment shots. Like a glimpse into the past!
It's amazing how many people were killed during the civil war considering how inaccurate the guns were and how long it took to reload. Nice blues!
Wonderful shots Rebecca!
The first is my favorite.

This is totally one of those things I would enjoy going to! They do some of this around 4th of July here in NY and it's a treat each time!
Amazing photos re-enacting a time when history was tangled in confusion! Very interesting!
These are excellent, Rebecca. I can just imagine the sound from the guns shooting...and the smell :)
Beautiful shots and great that they keep history alive this way!

Great captures of expressions.

I remember seeing clothes like this in the tv-serie "North and South"!
That would be cool to watch a re-enactment of the civil war. great shots.
Very interesting post for your Midweek Blues!
