On a recent scouting mission for my camera club,
my eye was really just attracted to this bridge.
A bridge over the Delaware River
connecting Pennsylvania with New Jersey.
And I love bridges with pedestrian paths.
But the true treasure
is what I found on the other side of the bridge.
Milford,
a little town that history forgot.
Just park a few vintage 50s cars along the street
and you'd swear you were hearing
Elvis crooning from a window nearby.
I am not sure how this sweet little town
has avoided the CVS, McDs, and Target wrecking balls.
But I sure hope they continue to do so.
I did not see one chain store on main street...
hallelujah!
And seriously,
how can you not LOVE a place with
a Honeysuckle Lane?
I am thinking this would make a great side trip for
my camera club.
I'm just not sure what Milford residents
will think being invaded by people with cameras.

We have just recently moved to another city and have a bridge almost like this one I want to explore. We already discovered the Church at the end of the bridge (a recent post) but ran out of time to explore more. I love the colours of this little town! Its nice when things hold onto thier charm and are not overtaken by the big box stores.
I like all the lines in the bridge. My eyes would have been drawn to it too. Milford is a photogenic place, that's for sure!
Oh, I would love to go on that outing! We have a similar town here in Maryland that I will be posting pics of soon...no chain stores around and I love it!
I like the street sign,i lived in Milford Iowa for a bit
Photographing quaint towns with charming buildings is what gives me the most pleasure. Your photos as always are superb and lovely to look at. My husband and I discovered a little town in Arizona that we fell in love with because everything was original and it was like traveling back in time. Love the simple life.
I love that bridge. I never knew there was an Opera house, how cool is that lettering?
That's amazing! What a fun place to get some beautiful shots! : )
What a beautiful small town! Love your POV on the bridge!
This looks like quite a quaint little town. I love old buildings and especially like the colors of the buildings that line the street. I especially love your various perspectives and how you framed different points that caught your eye. Thanks for joining Walk and Click Wednesday!!
Oh, how I wish that town were near my locations! I think that surely your group would have a great time here.
What a beautiful bridge and oh, what a sweet little town! That would be a great place to spend the day taking photos! I am surprised it isn't used for a movie location! It's great! xoxo
I love everything you saw, great photos. So glad there are a few places left without the invasion of Walmart and Target. Visiting from Walk and Click.
what a wonderful tour! Thank you for sharing at the hop xo
great shots. what a fascinating little town.
I love beautiful bridges like this one, too and the old town is fabulous. I will write it down in my journal. We love to discover historic towns when we travel and plan our route accordingly. What amazing photos!
Bridges offer so much opportunity for photos don't they. A nice selection, thanks.
This would definitely make a great trip. I can see a lot of photo opportunities here. Great images!
