The calendar says March 20.
The streets are brined,
the snow is falling,
there are no pansies at the home improvement store,
the heat is on,
I am cuddled under a blanket.
Spring?
Where?

But high in the sky there is hope -
Spring is flying in on the backs of Snow Geese.

It is a thrilling sight.

So while it is snowing flakes outside my window,
the snow of a different sort
is the one that signals spring is near.

the geese KNOW so soon there will be NO SNOW.. at least I hope so for your sake...
Hopefully soon you'll be warming up to spring. We are hoping to reach 75 degrees today, but it is a little chilly this AM. Those flocks of birds are amazing!
Stunning pictures. It must have been a sight to see.
WOW... these are amazing!
WOW! I would love to capture a huge flock of snow geese. These are stunningly beautiful.
What a lovely snow storm!
What great photos! Spring is definitely here on the Gulf Coast - no ice or snow this far south this year (although we did have it last year). Just enough days of spread out bitter cold that we had to bring the plants in and keep them in for almost 3 months. They will go back out on the porch this weekend ;)
It's here :-)
Great goose photos!
I'm with you, let's get on with this ...
The snow geese look magnificent, I should pay a visit to Middle Creek Wildlife Preserve
Gorgeous photos ... so beautifully captured !
Hope Spring will arrive soon ...
Enjoy the weekend,
Sylvia
That is a whole lot of birds! I am glad winter really seems to be going away here, we have daffodils and blossom just budding in the trees

So sorry to see that snow in the air where you are. Thankfully we haven't had that yet, and thankfully most of the snow is finally gone.
Really amazing sweeping landscapes. The swarm of birds, makes the images spectacular!
Whoa - your pictures of the snow geese - amazing! Like you we have the snowstorm here in NJ. Can't believe it is the beginning of spring and I heard them shovel snow outside.
Oh boy, I've completely lost track of time...I had no idea it was snow geese season already at Middle Creek! One of these years I will be organized enough to get myself there to see this is person. Great captures!
Those are amazing, wow! No spring here, it's nuts!
That is a lot of birds. So sorry you had to endure the snow once more, but Spring is on its way, I promise!
beautiful photos of the snow geese-that would be awesome and uplifting to view-I have a blog friend up in nova scotia and he got 20 inches of snow with gusting winds a couple days ago-that would depress me out for sure.
Happy Spring-it will come and I know not soon enough
hugs Kathy
The geese do look like heavy snow flakes, don't they? Gorgeous photos!
