Suburban Girl Roams Through the Irish Riviera

Spring Lake Boardwalk

Well, I roamed as much as I could
with 3 other family kinfolk along.
You know how that is...
"Hold on, Mom's taking another picture."

Pedestrian Bridge Over Spring Lake

We rode bikes through what my Irish neighbor refers to as
The Irish Riviera.
There are a lot of signs that Irish folk abound.

This seaside town is drop dead beautiful.
and the houses are all well maintained.

Mr. Engineer said we could buy this place for our retirement.

I bet when spring flowering trees bloom
the sights are just gorgeous.

When you are here
it feels like a residential town
rather than a seaside tourist attraction.

The Beach at Spring Lake

There is just a small main street with little shops lining it.
Just the way I like it.

Now about that retirement promise...
I should have had him sign something
because Mr. Engineer never remembers those promises.

a really beautiful spot on the face of our earth. i really like the pic of the pedestrian bridge under the tree limb bridge.. remember if you retire in that house you will need a maid to keep it clean... at 70 and 78 it is hard to keep our 1350 sq feet clean...

That is not a promise I would forget, I'd be running to the Realtor, it's gorgeous.

Well that would certainly be an amazing retirement home! What a lovely outing this was. So many beautiful places to discover and enjoy in our world. Thanks for sharing this spot.

The church looks like it's right next door to a home. Interesting. It seems a little early to be roaming the beach, especially in view of the winter the East Coast had. I guess you didn't say anything about going in the water, did you?

beautiful scenery. I wouldn't mind having that house as my retirement home either. My hubby never remembers those kind of promises either. LOL

I think I could enjoy visiting this place. I love where I live but that looks like a fabulous place for a vacation.

What a gorgeous place - I love the photo of the pedestrian bridge through the crooked tree! That house is pretty amazing, too. Such a nice place to take a stroll! xo Karen

My kind of place for sure. My family understands about the stopping to take photos pretty good by now. Thankfully I have trained them well, they are usually taking their own photos. I just look like a photographer with my Canon and they look like tourists with their iPhones. Even though both of them are very good.
