The Day the Clydesdales Came to Town

I don't drink beer...
except when in the Hofbrauhaus in Munich
because that's what you do in the Hofbrauhaus in Munich.
And then I cheat and drink a radler.

Is That You Grandpa?

I don't really care for horses either...
mostly because I don't like horse people.
Most of them - in my area at least -
are rude and snobby.
If you're a horse person,
I'm sure you wouldn't be one of the rude and snobby ones.

Red, White and Black All Over

Enter the Budweiser Clydesdales -
Beer and Horses.
You'd think I wouldn't be interested,
but I was.

Handling the Reins.

It was a wonderful photo op kind of day
right in my suburban town of Ambler, Pennsylvania -
a warm December day,
crowds of people,
small town venue,
and big attraction.

Eight Horse Power

Hundreds of spectators lined the streets
to catch a glimpse -
but the best glimpse was after the spectators dispersed
and the team came back through town.
Shhhh...that's a great photo op secret.

Get Me Down or I Will Relieve Myself on This Tree

Today,
I have a new appreciation for
horses and beer -
thanks to
The Budweiser Clydesdales who
visited Ambler, PA on Dec. 12, 2015.
I hope they come again sometime.

Here is an interesting video about the clydesdales

i love horses and I love these photos. ALL OF THEM... email me please and tell me how you get that blown out white sky behind the guys driving and the dog.. you would like the horse people here if you like old time westerns. my friends and their friends where jeans and look like cowboys and live on ranches that could be use for a western. they are old time Florida, like from the 1860's type.

I don't know which I prefer, the horses or the dog? Both are beautiful!

How amazing. I love horses and most horse people....at least the western type horse people. Not so sure about the fancy shmancy show horse people. Your photos are awesome. Wish I could have been there.

I don't think there's a person in this world that doesn't love those Clydesdales! Great post! (Don't blame horses for horse people being rude! :( Maybe just wish they'd get bucked off! :-) )

They were here not too long ago too. But I think that might have been when I was in PA.

I've seen the Clydesdales in person as well. They are magnificent animals. Their breeding farm is not too far from where we live so we can go see the babies each spring! Beautiful shots. Love the one of the Dalmatian on top of the wagon. #LTTL

The Clyesdales came to our town this summer and I regret not heading out to take photos. I love these shots and your edits, they look very vintage. Lisa #LTTL
