It was a beautiful in so many ways last night.
The skies were clear,
the weather crisp.
the traffic unusually light...
and an open air light show over the city!
I had attended a photography class with my Smugs
and some of us often do some night shooting afterwards.
The 3-d Open Air Light Spectacular
officially opens tonight with lots of festivities
on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
But we beat the crowds by taking photos
of their test shots a night earlier.
24 robotic lights are placed in such a way as to
frame our Art Museum.
(That would be the one where Rocky ran up the steps.)
But they say you can view them for up to 10 miles.
During the official show
all those lower lights are supposed to be turned off
to help appease those complaining of light pollution.
If you are in the area you can view the light show nightly
between 8-11 pm until October 14, 2012.
At which time they will return us to our regularly scheduled light pollution.
In the center, on the bottom of the above photo
is the Art Museum.

It really was quite spectacular!
