Howell Living History Farm

I love when living history is authentic.  

When I don't see plastic tubs and cans of cola lying about 

and when the tools of the trade were the tools of the trade.

I like to imagine what is was really like all those years ago...

without a dishwasher, refrigerator, washer and dryer. 

And then I am thankful I have those modern things...

and  I am only left to imagine what life was like without them. 

It is hard enough for me to lose electricity for a few hours!

The day I spent imagining at

New Hope Lambertville Winterfest

This was the first time I attended a parade in winter!
It just seemed a little strange to me...
A parade in winter. 

And lucky me, the weather was more spring-like than winter-like. 

Maybe that explains what got me there.

Or maybe it was because a group of my photo club friends
were meeting there too.



Whatever!

At least there was a lot of winter blues to see -
From sunglasses to firefighter hats!





The best part of a parade are the kids.
