Cycling Forsythe Wildlife Drive With the Camera

If you are going to drive, walk or cycle 

through Forsythe's Wildlife Drive, 

the only way to do it is with a camera. 

And a camera with a long lens is best. 

There are so many opportunities to view 

and photograph wildlife. 

If I was riding alone, 

I would have spent more time 

watching the wildlife 

with the camera ready. 

But when the husband is along, 

I have to keep moving. 

Plus, the drive is 8 miles 

so I didn't want to spend too much time in one spot.

tripod and camera

binoculars 

bug spray 

sun screen

water

Someone Beat Me to the Parsley

This parsley has been growing next to a butterfly bush all summer. 

It seems, finally, the parsley was noticed 

by someone other than me. 

But I could only find one caterpillar among the parsley leaves. 

Someday he will be a lovely black swallowtail, 

An Amazing Space With A Lot of Punch

Here's a neat little find just outside of Philadelphia:

It's just a small little space 

that packs a lot of punch.

And on this nice day 

it was breathtaking.

Across the street sits the privately held Erdenheim Farm. 

it provides some nice street view photo ops too.

And just around the corner is a lovely trail 

along the Wissahickon Creek through Wissahickon Valley Park 

right into Philadelphia - via the scenic route.

This is a nice little stop by spot, 

but not really enough for whole day trip.

Mommy Robin

Yesterday I went to a garden center 

and saw this robin fly in front of me.

She perched over a greenhouse
with a worm in her bill.

I am guessing she has a nest nearby.

I fell in love...

I was enjoying a ride in my car on a beautiful fall day and I truly fell in love.

A little blurry cause I took the above photo through the sun roof. :)

I am in love with Lower Creek Road in Hunterton County, New Jersey.

I was so in love stopped at every little area I could find to park
and enjoy the views.

And there is preserve land with trails all along the creek.  How awesome!

And there was NO ONE around... 

...I didn't even see a Copperhead!

Not that I hung around to look for one.

A beautiful day, beautiful scenery and beautiful fall colors!

I didn't want to leave!
I would live there in a heart beat!
