A Summer to Remember

There has been a lot of activity going on in our family.
All good things.

Along with my son home from college for the summer,
my daughter and her husband are moving to Michigan from San Diego
with a little stay with us in Pennsylvania.
He just finished a 6 year enlistment with the US Navy and
has accepted a job that requires 2 years in Michigan.
It is fun to have a house full of activity again.

The Two from San Diego Making Rüdesheimer Coffee,
Asbach and sugar lit on fire with added whipped cream and chocolate shavings
I also have a little grand who I get to babysit
now that mommy has returned to work.
She's a nurse and works night shift.
Daddy's schedule is always changing.
I'm the backup for when their schedules need me.

The Baby with cousin 'Uncle Glen'

And to top it all off,
we are planning a family trip to Germany.
My husband's grandfather immigrated in the 1920s
and started Haegele's Bakery in Philadelphia.
Our family is going to Germany with my husband's cousin's family.
There we will meet the German relations
and visit the places where their grandfather lived, apprenticed and worshiped.

First Cousins and Second Cousins
I'm the crazy lady with the little dog.

This will be a summer to remember for sure.
